It's been a great journey so far - and as they say, "it's the journey that counts, not the destination"
I have always loved the water... and anything to do with it... I am not alone! Man has always had a facination with water, eventually harnessing the wind to sail the oceans and explore points near and far...

Years ago [mid 1990's] I went to the annual Sunapee Crafts fair, and on my way home, I decided to venture out on a new way home, and in doing so, came across a sailboat for sale. I stopped and gave it a look up and down and all around... | ... what struck me was that it was a fairly good sized sailboat and the cost was not that much (around $4,000 I think) and it got me thinking that a sailboat doesn't have to cost a fortune! (but as we move on with this story, it does!! lol)
I was so excited! The next weekend I drove back down to Lake Sunapee and drove around the whole lake looking at sailboats at the various marinas. Bingo! As I was walking around the Georges Mills Boat Club, I saw a nice sailboat for sale. It was an 1980's O'Day 222, which is a 22 foot sailboat. I thought it was perfect, and called up the owner [find his name]... he came right over, and we took it for a short sale, and I was hooked! I said I wanted it, and we made the arrangements. Part of the deal was that I could keep it at his marina for the rest of the season, which was great. [I had just gotten little jagger, so we are talking 1997-1998]
Since I was spending a lot of time on lake sunapee I was able to find a cool little condo for sale on the lake, and then natuarally had to buy a boat slip in the harbor for my sailboat [that is what I mean about the true cost of buying my sailboat!! lol... a $7,000 purchase turns into a $$$$$$$ purchase!!]
